Depth of Emotion

Sometimes depth of emotion

Clamours in raving colours of despair

Invading the mind and cutting to the bone

Injuring with sharpened claws of its own making

Threatening the tears to scorch

Sometimes depth of emotion rings softly

As warmth pushes from the heartland

Spreading and releasing through our veins

Inherent wisdom and love

Teaching the tears to cleanse the soul

Acknowledging the breadth

Of human experience
