My heart beats steadily

As years pass by

The longing swells and stills

With the changing of the seasons

I lose myself in time rolling by

Will I find you in our Summer

Now Spring has come and gone

Without you to hold

Sometimes I feel you close

Your presence lingering faintly

On the edges of my awareness

But I cannot seem to focus my sight

Before you slip away from view

Tell me where to find you

Where has the road of life taken you

Tell me how to look

For my eyes are getting weary

I promise to be brave and dry my tears

When it is time to face you

Once our paths are fated to cross

Remember I have always been yours

My love awaits your embrace
