Soul’s Longing

Her voice sounded clear

And carried to the stars

A song of love and longing

Beholding the greatness of the heavens

She felt small and insignificant in their domain

Yet salvaged, grand and familiar

In the universe’s magical touch

The wind lifted her voice higher and higher

To the flickering lights far above

With their realms of fire and water

Their glow a message from the Elders

And the night enveloped her like a mantle

Of ink blue and silver splendour

Her shimmer frozen in time and space

In a moment of connection

The divine offered a listening ear and responded

Human child, you too are of the stars

Let their brilliance be of comfort

In the knowledge that the soul will always find its way home

Live in love

Sing in harmony

Vibrate with purity

And the Gods and Goddesses

Will guide the soul along the elevated path

Where now your voice has risen

And your song resounds

High in the heavens we will reunite

In the eternal embrace of creation
