The Quest

Lyrics

Misty morning fog

Mountains like mystic forts

My people as old as time

Their bloodlines as red as mine

But the land was swept into dark times

As the strangers brought down decline

All the laws the Elders had sworn to obey

Were cast out, put down astray

Darkness, the ages came

Forgotten were the Elders’ names

Fairies were forced to move

Their waters turned into darkened pools

Holy forests were cut into flames

And even the Gods were given new names

You my love, I had to leave you behind to try and find

A key for this curse to unwind

Hold the road leading to your heart

It’s my quest, that keeps us apart

Till one day, the heavens will break these chains

Dark forces will fall

And I will hold you again

Misty morning fog

Mountains like mystic forts
